
Miller's Bio
Josh is a fireman in the city of New Haven, CT. He began his career in New Haven assigned to the busiest truck in the city, Truck 4. Truck Company 4 is in the Dixwell, Newhallville section of New Haven. Josh wanted to expand his knowledge in the technical rescue world and wanted to be a part of a citywide company.
Josh Miller is an experienced fireman who began his fire service career over 20 years ago. He began his career as a volunteer in Briarcliff Manor, New York. Josh then was a fireman in Washington, D.C. starting at Engine company 2 in Chinatown, he was able to learn skills associated with being a fireman in a high rise, densely populated setting. He then transferred to Engine Company 32 in Southeast, D.C. which provided a high call volume, and urban setting. Josh was also a volunteer with the Hyattsville fire department located in Prince Georges County Maryland. Hyattsville VFD is one of the busiest volunteer companies in the country and is located inside the beltway, bordering Washington, D.C.

He then transferred to Squad Company No.1. where he was able to continue his passion of practicing all the disciplines of the job. Josh is currently an assigned driver to Rescue Company 1.
. Josh is a Pro- Board certified instructor, has been published in Fire Engineering Magazine, has appeared on fire engineering’s politics and tactics, contributing author to other books and publications and holds many other certifications in various disciplines
